Type some normal text in the box and it'll be 𝖈𝖍𝖆𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖉 into a 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲 number of different 𝓼𝓹𝓮𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓵 𝚏𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚜 that you can use on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and most other social media platforms. Use the sparkles button to add things like kamojis ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ and 𝒐̯𝒕̯𝒉̯𝒆̯𝒓̯ ̯𝒔̯𝒑̯𝒆̯𝒄̯𝒊̯𝒂̯𝒍̯ ̯𝒆̯𝒇̯𝒇̯𝒆̯𝒄̯𝒕̯𝒔̯.
Some social media platforms and games don't allow certain characters, so if a few of the fonts don't work on a specific website, then that's probably why.
Wondering how this font changer thing works? Well, all these fonts are created using uncommon Unicode characters. Unicode is the international organisation that defines which textual characters (and emojis!) should exist. Each year they add more characters so that more languages and use-cases are supported. There are over one hundred thousand different characters in the Unicode standard! And it turns out that some of them look a lot like the characters on your keyboard. For example, this unusual character: "𝕙" looks a lot like this one: "h". You can find the latter one on your keyboard, but not the former. Uncommon Unicode characters aren't included on your keyboard because your keyboard would need to to be the size of a tennis court to include them all!
So when changing the "font" of the input text, we're really just converting your characters into different ones in the Unicode standard. This technically isn't the same as changing the "font" of some text, since changing the real font of some text doesn't actually change the characters themselves. But we're changing the characters. The advantage of this is that you can copy and paste these "fonts" onto other websites. You can't do that with normal fonts, since the font is purely "cosmetic" - it is applied to the text, but doesn't change the actual characters.
Hope that makes sense! And don't forget to explore all the different fancy special effects by clicking on the sparkles button •ᴗ•
